can anyone explain why rileys cut of entry fee over past 3 leagues has gon up but final prize pool has gon down??? winner £12,000 then winner £10,000 now to add to insult, vegas for 2 or £5000. does anyone upstairs read this forum or is money first???? i honestly think this might be the last league to be played in ledard road glasgow, as set up is a farce. we self deal, manage tables and final table counts and positions. for some players it's going to cost a bit just to get a seat in final as area final is not in club played at for 10 weeks???? total joke! we only  keep going because of freindship built over weeks but i am sure we will find some other place that will be happy with our drink takings alone to take over our weekly game???? so come on get it the gether ffs man???????????????????????????????????????//

Hi keepercool - to anwer your question.... The money you pay in as a stake each week, is paid out in prizes each week. So... where does the prize money for the Main Event come from? Rileys put it up! If you feel insulted that a total of over £13,000 is put up out of your £3 fee, I can only suggest that you consider the economics again. 

Riledys pay for the prize money in the Main Event from the fees players pay each week and when the number of players declines due to market forces and general leisure trend, then the prize money is bound to be affected.  Poker in Rileys clubs is a commercial operation and whilst Rileys do their best to encourage participation, the number of entrants cannot be guaranteed - but the prize money IS!

 A live final was organised after players fed back a preference to an online one. Sorry you feel that this is 'a joke' but the only way to finance a live final is to pay for hosting. This, of course, has to come from somewhere too!

i said set up at club was a joke as we do everything with only help from staff is handing over case of chips. i agree that live final is better than online one and i am looking forward to it although prize money has went down. the card gaurd that league winner gets its on sale at clubs so not exclusive and only costs couple of pound?

 With regard to the Card Guards - the ones that are won in King of Clubs or Viva Las Vegas CANNOT be bought in the club. Although we do sell card guards, there are numbered 2,3,4,5 in the series only. The Number 1 can only be won in a national event.
